interim SuperintendentJim O’Neill was appointed the Interim Superintendent at the August 22, 2011 meeting. Mr. O’Neill has spent 35 years in public education. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Hope College in Holland, Michigan and his Masters Degree in Education Administration from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. He retired on July 1, 2011 after serving 15 years in the School District of the Chathams, the last 8 as superintendent. Prior to moving to Chatham in 1996 Mr. O’Neill was principal of Lower Cape May Regional High School in Cape May, NJ. Prior to his career as an administrator he taught in Flossmoor, Illinois; Fort Ann, NY; Flemington, NJ; and for 10 years at Princeton High School in Princeton, NJ. |

Assistant SuperintendentDr. James Heinegg has served as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for the Roxbury School District since January 2009. Dr. Heinegg joined Roxbury from Saddle Brook Public Schools, where he was Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction/Director of Testing from 2001-2008. Dr. Heinegg earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Teachers College Columbia University. He also holds a master’s degree in Teaching and a second master’s degree in Philosophy. His undergraduate degree is in Philosophy from Union College in Schenectady, NY. |
