Nixon School Accomplishments

Nixon School is proud to share the following accomplishments for
the 2006-2007 school year.

 

Nixon School Academic Accomplishments

 We continue to run a number of support activities that help our children maintain and utilize their academic skills.  Some of the significant programs or projects include:
  • Two students from Nixon were awarded certificates for their participation in the PTA Reflections Program.
     
  • Several students participated in the District Spelling Bee. One student from Nixon was the First Runner-Up. Four students participated in the County Spelling Bee.
     
  • All Fourth Grade students participated and presented the play, “The Granny Awards”.
     
  • Several students participated in the Knowledge Bowl. One student from Nixon won the Bowl.
     
  • Many students were awarded Reading Buttons by the Media Specialist for identifying key details in selected stories.
     
  • Attendance awards were distributed each marking period by the Computer Teacher.
     
  • Students also participated in Bring Your Child to Work Day. The students were presented with certificates to validate attendance. The students, upon their return, shared their experiences with grade level classes.
