The supervisors provide our schools with the subject matter and specialized program expertise that pushes our students to be among the best prepared in the nation for life after high school.  
The responsibilities of a supervisor include:

• Supporting staff in the development of subject area curriculum at either a building or district-wide level

• Supervising and observing teaching staff

• Maintaining curriculum and teaching standards which meet state and federal standards

• Communicating between grade levels to ensure alignment in subject matter

• Ensuring adherence to best practice standards

• Monitoring academic outcomes

• Interviewing and recommending hiring of staff

• Providing community with information related to subject area of expertise

• Communicating effectively with district administrators

• Collaborating with staff to coordinate professional development activities and on-going evaluation of the curriculum

• Developing improved instructional techniques

• Enhancing the classroom atmosphere and school environment

• Ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements
