The Expectations of Students at Eisenhower Middle School

To assist in maintaining a positive, safe, and courteous environment in our school and create the best learning experience possible, we expect students to follow these guidelines, as established by the Roxbury Board of Education:

  • Students will prepare themselves mentally and physically for the process of learning.
  • Students will respect the person, property, and intellectual and creative product of others
  • Students will take responsibility for their own behavior and learning
  • Students will use time wisely and share responsibility when working with others
  • Students will meet the requirements of each course of study
  • Students will monitor their own progress towards school objectives
  • Students will communicate with parents/guardians and appropriate school staff members about school matters.

    The Purpose of these guidelines is to provide:

  • Pupil, parents, and staff members with a clear description of behavior that is acceptable so that is does not interfere with the maintenance of a school environment conducive to learning and protective of members of the school community.
  • Pupils with an opportunity to modify unacceptable behavior
  • Consistency and predictability in the administration of pupil discipline
  • A program of sequences consequences within the educational approach to discipline.
