Our Philosophy

Eisenhower Middle School believes in the "Teaming Philosophy." This means breaking up each grade into smaller schools within our school. Each grade consists of three teams with five teachers: Language Arts, Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. In addition, we have an exploratory cycle which gives students the opportunity to try different classes in shorter time periods. We believe that these opportunities will aide our students in making choices as they enter Roxbury High School. Our cycle periods consist of Spanish, Music, Computers, and Art. Physical Education and Health are offered to our students throughout the course of the school year. Our academic teams are committed to keeping current with new practices, and they have been awarded with various "Best Practice Awards" from the State Department of Education.

In addition to our academic commitment, we are also committed to educating our students emotionally and socially. We have incorporated many facets into our curriculum, working with the students towards positive decisions. The Roxbury Township Police Department works closely with us, and we offer students units following the DARE curriculum. Our Health and Physical Education teachers have worked hard to incorporate aspects of nutrition and lifetime fitness into their programs as well.

We have a variety of clubs and extra-curricular activities for our students to experience including Academic Club, Math Club, Horticulture Club, English Competition Club, Literary Magazine, Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Drama Productions, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Wrestling, Basketball, and Track.
