School lunch is an important part of the school day, it's more than just fuel for the body, it is an integral part of the school day for a myriad of reasons. During lunch, students polish their social skills, utilize math and language skills and learn about nutrition. This web page is designed to enhance our program, keep you up to date on the latest school food service trends and how these trends will impact the foods served in our cafeterias. Creating a focus on healthful eating and making good food choices for parents and students is my primary goal for this web page and my position as Director of Food and Nutrition Services. On this site, nutrition related health issues such as childhood obesity, Type II diabetes, food allergies and eating disorders will be addressed as well as the positive impact of optimal nutrition on health. Looking at the menus you will find we are implementing healthful choices while recognizing the changing needs and tastes of the students.
