GUARDIAN ANGELS TAP INTO THE ROXBURY COMMUNITY
By Danielle K. Lynch, Director of Community Relations and Community School

On Thursday, October 9, 2003 at 7:00 PM in the Roxbury High School Auditorium, John Munro, Guardian Angel Educational Consultant, will conduct a Community Building seminar with parents and community members of Roxbury Township.

This seminar will educate participants on the importance of community through strong communication and active participation.  Additionally, the seminar will highlight why community involvement can make a difference in the classroom.

Participants in the seminar will be made aware of the facts concerning bullying.  Methods for addressing bullying and ways to extend what the Roxbury School District is doing to eliminate bullying will be discussed.

This community seminar is one component of the Roxbury School District’s ongoing initiative to foster “Bully Free and Safe Schools.”  In addition to this seminar, the Guardian Angels will be brought into every school to conduct assemblies and classroom lessons.  Through this action, Dr. Louis Ripatrazone, Superintendent of Schools stated, “We will be looking for the tools to help our youngsters.”
