DECA STUDENTS SHOW THEIR APPRECIATION

On April 2, 2004, the Marketing Education Co-op Program held their Co-op Appreciation Breakfast in the Roxbury High School Media Center. 

Employers and employees were honored for their involvement and success in the program.  Board of Education members were in attendance, as well as teaching staff and guidance counselors and parents.  The students gave an overview of the program and a multimedia presentation of their co-op positions and work done in the related Marketing Education class. 

“It was enlightening to see the extent of work done in the field and in the classroom as the students showcased their class work and proud moments on the job,” stated Ms. Joanne Haines.  Ms. Haines will develop a sample slide presentation to be hosted on the Roxbury website so that students will have a better understanding of the coop. program and the Marketing class attended by the students of Roxbury High School. 

Participating employers include:  Odd Job, MC Educare, McDonalds, BJ’s Wholesale, Pizza Hut, IHOP, New Seasons, Faroldi's Pizza, Walmart, Quest Fitness, A1-Peck, Walgreen, Super Tanz, Market Place, Best Buy, ShopRite, St.Francis, Paint Ball Depot, T-Mobile and Aristocrat Limo Company.
