Mrs. Joan Damell’s Fourth Grade class of Jefferson School, recently presented Red “Writing” Hood to their First Grade reading buddies in Mrs. Dana Taggart’s class, as well as to parents, family and friends. “Both audiences heartily enjoyed it!” states Mrs. Damell.
The
story, Red “Writing” Hood is from the district’s fourth grade basal
series. The premise of the story is that Red Writing Hood decides to
change some standard fairy tales, such as Goldilocks, Little Bo Peep,
Little Miss Muffet, and Cinderella, which creates some very comical scenes.
The story’s FBI Agents (Fairytale Believers Incorporated) save the day by
making Red change them back.
Red was played by Lindsey Adelstein and the Wolf by Sean Brady. The FBI Agents were: Erik Dyrness, Bret Eilertson, and Robert Postlethwaite. All students were involved and had to learn their parts and dress up as their character.
