Building Project Highlights

On Tuesday, December 9, 2003, NJN News showcased a segment on the Roxbury School District Building Project.  Community members were able to tune into
NJN News on the following channels:

    Together, Dr. Louis Ripatrazone - Superintendent of Schools, Mrs. Pat Miller - Board of Education President, Mrs. Mary Ann Boyd - Principal of Franklin School and Ms. Monica Gomez - EPIC Management, Inc. Project Manager for Phase 1 of the building project described the process involved in gaining community support for the referendum and in turn passing the referendum, the bidding process, the construction work that has been completed to date and the work that is to take place on all seven of the Roxbury Public Schools. 

   Throughout the taping, each of the above mentioned individuals reflected on the positive impact that this building project has on the youngsters of Roxbury and their instructional programs.  Additionally, community members were again thanked for their continued support!

Dr. Ripatrazone Shared the Building Project link as found on www.roxbury.org using a SMART Board.

During the interview, Mrs. Boyd highlighted the positive impact that additional learning space would have on a number of Franklin School's programs.

The photo journals on the Building Project link allowed NJN to see the progress that has been made to date.

Mrs. Miller reinforced that open communication with the public concerning the building project was and still remains of great importance.  In light of this, she too referred to www.roxbury.org and the
