During December 2003, Dr. Louis M. Ripatrazone – Roxbury’s Superintendent of Schools was one of six New Jersey Superintendents elected to serve on a newly created American Association of School Administrators (AASA) Governance Board.
As a
member of the AASA Governing Board, Dr. Ripatrazone will work collaboratively
with others to provide overall direction for the association regarding issues,
which relate to New Jersey school administrators.
Additionally, Dr. Ripatrazone will be a part of the ASSA’s approval
process for resolutions and legislative agendas developed by the association’s
Executive Committee.
“I
am proud to be selected as one of the six Superintendents from New Jersey who
will be actively involved in federal government issues that directly impact New
Jersey schools. This will be quite
a challenge, in light of the federal government’s passing of the No Child Left
Behind Law and the impact that this law has not only on New Jersey, but on the
other 49 states, as well,” states Dr. Ripatrazone.
Mrs. Pat Miller, Roxbury Board of Education President states, “On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to congratulate Dr. Ripatrazone on this recognition by his peers. It is a true credit to Dr. Ripatrazone as well as to the staff that supports him. The knowledge that will be attained through Dr. Ripatrazone's involvement with this committee will definitely be of benefit to the Roxbury School District."
