On Saturday, May 14, 2005, communities worldwide will participate in the eleventh annual “Kids Day America/International,” a Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness Day.  Drs. Nancy and Denis Gallagher will be sponsoring the event locally at Nixon Elementary School on Mt. Arlington Boulevard in Landing, NJ from 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM.

Drs. Nancy and Denis Gallagher will provide essential information on crime prevention, child safety and environmental awareness.  The Roxbury Police Department will be on hand to provide FREE digital fingerprinting of all children.

In addition there will be a special appearance by “Smokey” the Bear.  The Fire Department is bringing their fire truck and will teach fire safety tips to the children.  This year is especially exciting for Kids Day America/International, as it is being represented by Jonathan Lipnicki, star of such films as Jerry Maguire with Tom Cruise and Stuart Little 1 and 2, as the new Celebrity Spokesperson.  The inclusion of Jonathan Lipnicki is sure to bring and unprecedented level of media coverage and attention to the event, locally and nationally, as well.

Drs. Nancy and Denis Gallagher will provide FREE spinal exams and scoliosis screening and distribute vital information on disease prevention and specific health issues that affect children.  “We will also provide free balloons and snacks.  There will be special giveaways and prize drawings every half hour!  We will also gladly accept your generous donations for Roxbury Police Explorers, which will help to enable them to continue their efforts for future Police officers,” says Dr. Nancy Gallagher.  “My staff and I invite all of your friends and neighbors to join us at this unique, fun-filled community awareness event!”
