November 19, 2004, Succasunna, NJ… Jefferson School first graders frequently have the opportunity to travel around the world in thirty minutes. As the students are engaged in their Families Around the World unit of study, they are able to enjoy presentations about other countries and cultures. Parent volunteers often conduct these presentations.
Mrs. Terese Guerriero recently took the first graders of Mrs. Marzocca and Mrs. Byank’s classes on an imaginary journey to Japan. She highlighted various parts of the Japanese culture; including the traditional foods, past time activities, language, poetry, shelters, clothing and weather.
