The Roxbury High School Cheerleading Squads had a very busy season. During the month of January, Roxbury High School cheerleaders, cheerleading parents and Coach Kelley D’Olivo hosted the Roxy Rumble competition. While the Roxbury High School Varsity and Junior Varsity squads performed only as an exhibition, they were scored by judges and won their categories. These performances were featured on Cablevision, Channel 78.
Also, during the month of February, two Roxbury High School competition
teams competed at the 2005 UCA High School National Cheerleading Championships
in Orlando, Florida. The small
varsity team placed sixteenth out of twenty-seven in their group and the junior
varsity team placed thirteenth out of sixteen teams in their group.
This was the second time that the varsity team competed in Orlando and
the first time for the junior varsity squad.
