GETTING TO KNOW FAMOUS AMERICAN WOMAN

At Lincoln/Roosevelt School, students in Mrs. Clorinda Mason’s class complete a book report each marking period.  This year’s third marking period book report focused on famous American Woman.

For this project, each student read a book, and then using a graphic organizer planned his or her written report.  Their reports were read orally to the class.  In addition to this written report, the students were asked to make the “bust” of their famous American Woman from some kind of can. According to Mrs. Mason, “The student's really enjoyed making and presenting their busts.  The assignment was a huge success.  The students did an extraordinary job on them!”
