In an effort to help others, Lincoln/Roosevelt School’s Sixth Grade Team S sponsored an eyeglass drive. The glasses that were collected were donated to the Lion’s Club of Succasunna.
The Lion’s Club of Succasunna works cooperatively with Len Crafters to clean and repair the collected glasses, so that they may be hand delivered distributed to those in need within developing countries.
Recently,
the President of the Lion's Club, Mr. Jim Wheeler, and Roxbury’s Mayor, Mr.
Richard Zoschak, visited Lincoln/Roosevelt School to collect the glasses and to
present the students with a certificate of appreciation for their efforts. Mrs. Brenda Sumski was also presented with a certificate in
recognition for her efforts in organizing this particular collection.
