Kennedy
School's "Kids for Kids" continue to care about others.
First
graders at Kennedy School decided to have a Holiday Read-a-Thon during the month
of December. Each child donated
$3.00 as admission to the Holiday Read-a-thon.
The first graders had breakfast together on December 23, 2004 and then
laying out their sleeping bags and using their flashlights they read and read
and read! A total of $300.00 was
collected and donated to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
Additionally, Kennedy School Second Graders donated $243.95 to the Daily Record's Operation Holiday. The money was collected and donated in lieu of a holiday grab bag and teachers' gifts.
