RHS FRENCH CLUB

March 8, 2005, Succasunna, NJ…After several years of being dormant, Roxbury High School's French Club has been renewed. Monthly meetings began in September 2004. Since then, the club has grown to almost forty members. Meetings are monthly and consist of various activities pertaining to French language and culture.

On February 8, 2005, the club had a Mardi Gras party where the students made masks, enjoyed French foods, and listened to Mardi Gras music. The French Club advisor is Madame Rosellen Michelson with Madame Marguerite Wall as co-advisor. The elected officers are Samantha Evans (President), Alyssa Ames (Vice President), Ed Stierli (Secretary), and Laura Furey (Treasurer).

Future activities include viewing French movies, a possible trip to New York City to enjoy more aspects of French culture, and a French dining experience. According to Samantha Evans, “The advisors, as well as members, are thrilled that the French Club has returned to Roxbury's extracurricular activities and look forward to expanding our club.”
