March is Youth Arts Month -a national observation that encourages public support for quality school art programs. The Roxbury School District Art Teachers are proud of the work that students create and want the general public to enjoy the work as well.
This year, as in the past, student artwork will be exhibited within each
school and at several community locations, including the Roxbury Board of
Education Office, the Public Library and the Senior Center. This year artwork
will also be exhibited within the Council Room at the Roxbury Town Hall, as
well. Artwork will also be
featured in the Ledgewood Mall from March 14, 2005 to March 31, 2005.
Honorable Mayor, Richard Zoschak, officially proclaimed March to be
Youth Arts Month at the Town Meeting on February 22, 2005.
All are welcome to join in the celebration by visiting one or all of our
locations where artwork is on display.
