A representative
from University of the Arts
visited with Art Majors on September 19th at Roxbury High School.
The representative
discussed art school search issues, the application process and portfolio
review. Art students had the opportunity to have their portfolio's
critiqued. All seniors planning to study art post high school
were invited.
Mrs. Joann Hughes of the Art
Department says the next event Art Major students will be attending is the
National Portfolio Review Day at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY on
Saturday, November 19th. College representatives from over 50 of the most
prestigious art and design schools in the US will critique student portfolios.
Some colleges may accept the portfolio presented as the visual portion of the
application process. Art Major and Photography students may attend.
