GUIDANCE OFFICE UNDER NEW LEADERSHIP

Roxbury High School Seniors are preparing to head off to college with a new Director of Guidance. 

 Dr. Linda Bowles has joined the Roxbury School District, as Director of Guidance at Roxbury High School and her transition to the district has been smooth.  Dr. Bowles joins Roxbury after serving as Director of Special Services at three school districts, Newark, Roselle Park and South Orange-Maplewood.  Dr. Bowles earned her PhD in Educational Administration and M.A. in Administration of Special Education from the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona and earned her B.S. in Elementary Education/Special Education from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona.  

Dr. Bowles stated she has many goals for next year, “We plan to access departmental goals/objectives at the end of the school year.  Our plans will be shared with the school principal and incorporated into the total school goals/objectives for the new school year.” Dr. Bowles commended her staff and said the team atmosphere in the department shows in everything they do.  Dr. Bowles commends her staff, “The staff is very knowledgeable and supportive of students, staff/administrators and parents and most important, dedicated to their profession,” said Bowles.

The Roxbury School District looks forward to the continued support the Guidance Department will provide under the leadership of Dr. Linda Bowles.
