The Roxbury School District welcomes new Administrators.
There are some exiting changes to The Roxbury School District according to Mr. Dennis Mack, Superintendent of Schools. “There is a lot of energy at the beginning of each school year. It is an exciting time to be a part of this district, with our continued growth, updated facilities and new staff. Our new hires are very enthusiastic about being a part of our community and that enthusiasm will head down the halls as the teachers and students return for the start of the school year,” says Mack.
The Roxbury Board of Education is pleased to announce Mrs. Audrey Wallock as Principal of Kennedy School.
Mrs. Wallock says, “It is my mission to provide a healthy and safe environment in which children can learn and are inspired to do so.” Mrs. Wallock has served as Assistant Principal of Lincoln/Roosevelt and as a Guidance Counselor at Roxbury High School. Mrs. Wallock earned her M.A. in Administration and Supervision from Montclair State University, an M.A. in Guidance and Counseling from Montclair State University and attended The College of New Jersey for her B.A.
Mrs. Wallock lives in Roxbury with her husband Michael and
has been married for 36 years. She is the mother of three children Heather
Gittleman, Keith Wallock and Randy Wallock. She enjoys traveling, reading
and tennis.
The Roxbury Board of Education welcomes Mr. Dan Johnson as Principal of Eisenhower Middle School.
Mr. Johnson joins Roxbury from his position as Assistant Principal for the Livingston School District. Johnson replaces retiring Principal Mr. John DePalma. According to the Roxbury Register, Johnson says, “There are so many new faces and new ideas in the district right now that I think the district can go through a real renaissance.”
Johnson earned his B.A. from Keene State College
(Keene, N.H.) and two master’s degrees from Seton Hall University.
Johnson resides in his hometown of Jefferson with his wife Lori and two
sons, Mattie and Anthony.
The Roxbury Board of Education announces Mr. Christopher Deery as Assistant Principal of Lincoln/Roosevelt Elementary School.
Mr. Deery comes to his new position from the classrooms of Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District where he served as an elementary school teacher in grades 4 and 5 from 1994-2005. Mr. Deery says, “I’m very excited to be joining the Lincoln/Roosevelt staff, and the Roxbury Township Public Schools! I look forward to working together with the dedicated teachers, hardworking students, and supportive parents and guardians.”
Mr. Deery earned his B.A. in Communication from the State University of New York/College at Oneonta, a M.A.T. in Elementary Education from Trenton State College (TCNJ), and his M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Rutgers. Mr. Deery resides in Bridgewater with his wife Jenny, also an educator and has three children, Bryan, Emma and Beth.
The Roxbury Board of Education announces Mrs. Danielle Lynch as Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction Applied Sciences Pre-K-5.
Mrs. Danielle Lynch comes to this position within the
Roxbury District as she previously served as Director of Community Relations
& the Community School. Mrs.
Lynch says, "I am very excited to
be working within the curriculum and instruction department of the Roxbury
School District. I am eager to work with the Board, administration and
teachers, so that we can continue to offer a quality education to all of
Roxbury's students."
Mrs. Lynch
brings a wealth of knowledge to her position.
Mrs. Lynch holds an M.A. from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
and an M.A. from Southeastern University. In
May, Mrs. Lynch completed her certification for Supervisor of Curriculum and
Instruction from New Jersey City University. Mrs. Lynch holds a B.A. in
Psychology from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
Mrs. Lynch is a proud graduate of the Roxbury School District.
She resides in Mount Olive with her husband Jim and daughter McKenzie.
The Roxbury Board of Education announces Mrs. Deborah Clogher Burleigh as Director of Community Relations & Community School.
Mrs. Burleigh replaces Mrs. Danielle Lynch who is now the Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction Applied Sciences Pre-K-5. Burleigh joins Roxbury from her previous positions at Montclair State University in Residence Life and the Department of Speech Communication. Mrs. Burleigh says, “I am exited to have the opportunity to work in a district that respects their legacy and looks for ways to enhance education in the community.”
Mrs. Burleigh recently earned her Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing in Elementary Education through Seton Hall University. She holds a M.A. in Corporate and Public Communication from Seton Hall University and a B.A. in Communication and Journalism from Keene State College (Keene, N.H.) Mrs. Burleigh is also a graduate of West Morris Mendham High School. She currently resides in Mount Olive with her husband Patrick and two daughters, Natalie and Saoirse.
