Franklin Elementary School
students celebrated Veteran’s day with the Boy Scouts raising the American
Flag on their new school flagpole. Local veterans joined in the celebration and listened to
student speakers who shared stories of freedom and hope for the future.
Continuing to protect the United States of America was the message the
Veterans had for these children. The
children sang with pride and bowed their heads in a moment of silence to honor
and remember all of the soldiers who gave their lives for freedom.
Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Edward Hade was at Franklin for the tribute and said, “The students did a fabulous job. It was a wonderful event organized by Dr. Boyd and her staff.”
