Succasunna, NJ, January 19, 2007…Today marks a special day for students and staff in the Roxbury School District community. Mr. Robert Cavo, Principal of Nixon Elementary School, completed his tenure today.
Mr. Cavo has served the Roxbury School District for 15 years as a school administrator. For the past 12 years of his career he as been the Principal of Nixon Elementary School. As an educational leader, Mr. Cavo will be greatly missed. Students, staff and parents joined together today to honor Mr. Cavo during a building wide assembly. Students spoke of Mr. Cavo’s dapper attire and his ability to know every students name. Staff members honored him on a professional and personal level for the leadership and support he has provided them throughout years.
Although students and staff were teary eyed, Mr. Cavo urged the school community to be happy for him and celebrate his retirement. Mr. Cavo retires from his Principal position today, but he will now begin a new journey in his educational career as a professor at Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey.
