Steve Jaskowak well known Ceramic artist and teacher will be visiting Eisenhower Middle School this year as their Artist in Residence.

Professor Jaskowak will be demonstrating clay as well as sharing with the students his own work. He will be visiting EMS four times this year in order for all the students to experience his knowledge in a small group setting. His visit will be the starting point for the students’ clay project as EMS celebrates the addition of the ceramic media to their art curriculum.

“We have a new kiln at EMS this year and I wanted something exciting to introduce the medium to the students,” said Mrs. Marie Pessolano, Art teacher. “I am extremely grateful to both the EMS PTA and the Roxbury Foundation for Excellence in Education for providing the funding for such a rich learning experience.”
