A Message from Evelyn Mishkin, Reflections Coordinator

Roxbury students recently participated in this year’s National PTA Reflections art program.  This year’s theme was “I Can Make a Difference By…”

District-wide, pupils in grades pre-kindergarten through 8th grade created more than 800 pieces of art for the program.  Thirty-eight of Morris County’s 53 winning entries were submitted by Roxbury pupils and are now competing at the State level of judging.  State judging results are generally available in early April.

Congratulations and good luck to all of Roxbury’s County winners:

Eisenhower Middle School:  Pablo Hernandez and Kim Tran.

Franklin Elementary School:  Lauren Padron, Amy Pilrun, Nicholas Sherman and Melanie Weickert.

Jefferson Elementary School:  Corinne Findlay, Bret Henches, Derek Henches (two art categories), Kevin Pollison (two art categories) and Brendan Steckler.

Don’t miss the display of all the outstanding artwork submitted for this year’s program by Roxbury students at the Ledgewood Mall from March 10 through April 3.  In addition, we are working out the details of a “Performing Arts” night to be held in conjunction with our mall display at which time all Film/Video Production, Dance Choreography and Musical Composition entries can be seen and heard.

Our district-wide recognition ceremony will be held in the Eisenhower Auditorium on Wednesday, April 30 at which time all district participants will receive certificates and all of our County winners will be awarded medals.
