On June 6, 2004, Fifty-two Fourth Graders from the entire Roxbury School District took part in the Fourth Annual Bright Ideas District Wide Fourth Grade Knowledge Bowl at Lincoln/Roosevelt School.
Twelve teams of students participated in three preliminary rounds of trivia questions, after which scores were tallied. The top two scoring teams faced each other in the final round in the Lincoln Auditorium in front of Lincoln/Roosevelt Fourth Graders.
Mr. Scott Huguenin, enrichment teacher at Kennedy School, was the moderator of the final round. Mrs. Jan Eberding, Mrs. Patricia Bihon, Mrs. Jeanne Maurella, Mr. Robert Kopchains and Miss Diane Hunter were moderators during preliminary rounds.
The winning team of Fourth Graders consisted of Anthony Malanka, Kim Tran, Matt Gartside, Kayla Moran and Austin Crithary. The names of the winning players will be added to a Bright Ideas Fourth Grade District Wide Knowledge Bowl plaque in the Lincoln/Roosevelt School.
