The Eisenhower Middle School Student Body continues to give back to the community. For the Thanksgiving holiday, the Eisenhower Middle School Builder’s Club collected over 4,000 pounds of food and collected 17 turkeys.  These food items were used to make-up Thanksgiving baskets, which were then distributed to residents of Roxbury Township.

The Eisenhower Middle School Student Council also organized a Thanksgiving service project entitled, “Bucks for Butterballs.”  Through this project, the Student Council was able to grant $20.00 Shop-Rite certificates to Roxbury families.

During the month of December, the Student Council is running a “Toys for Tots” drive.  The toys collected will be given to the Roxbury Fire Company, who will then distribute them to Roxbury Residents.

On Friday, December 5th the Eisenhower Middle School Show Choir and the Eisenhower Encore group performed for the Roxbury Senior Citizens at their annual Holiday Luncheon. The students were graciously received and it gave the youngsters a good feeling in this festive month.

Mr. John DePalma, principal of Eisenhower Middle School, comments, “The administration of EMS is thankful that we have a student body who believes in helping their fellow man and teachers who nurture this type of behavior.”
