The Roxbury
School District is proud to announce that eighteen submissions by sixteen of our
students have been chosen as county-level winners in this year's National PTA
Reflections Program.
The
National PTA Reflections Program is a cultural arts enhancement program, which
provides students with the opportunity to express and share their creative
talents, based on a theme. This school year's theme was "I Am Really
Happy When..."
Each participating school PTA invites students to participate and submit entries in any of the following categories: literature, visual arts, photography and musical composition. A limited number of entries may be chosen by each local PTA within art categories and age groupings for submission to the county-level for judging. Winners at the county-level are then forwarded on for judging at the state-level in the same art and age categories; then state winners contend for national honors.
