RHS ART STUDENTS CONTINUE TO GAIN RECOGNITION

 

Roxbury High School students continue to demonstrate their amazing artistic abilities. 

Recently at the Art Start competition at William Paterson University, Ryan Jouas, grade 11 received an Honorable Mention for one of his black and white drawings and Christine Bunomo; grade 11 was honored with Best Color drawing at the competition.

Ryan Jouas also has been selected as one of a few candidates for the final day of interviews of the Visual Arts Division of the year 2004 Governor's School of the Arts.  Governor’s School staff members interviewed him on Sunday, March 21, 2204 at the College of New Jersey.  He will be informed in the near future as to whether he has been chosen to attend this prestigious summer program.

At the Mount Olive High School -17th Annual Invitational 2004, Ryann Harris, grade 11, was recognized by Maryland Institute College of Art with the New Jersey Distinguished Artist Award of Recognition.

Finally, Miguel Cruz is the recipient of a Presidential Scholarship for artistic and academic merit at William Paterson University
