RHS SENIOR RECEIVES JOURNALISM SCHOLARSHIP

 

Heather Collura, senior at Roxbury High School has been selected as an Al Neuharth Free Spirit Scholarship recipient. She is one of the 102 top journalism students who were carefully chosen to represent all 50 states and the District of Columbia.  She will receive a $1,000.00 college scholarship to the college of her choice. 

In addition to receiving this scholarship, she has been invited to attend the Freedom Forum conference in Washington, DC on March 22-25, 2004.

The conference, which Heather will be attending, was created to honor Al Neuharth, founder of USA TODAY and The Freedom Forum, for his long and distinguished career n journalism and his free spirit. 

During the conference program, Heather will attend sessions with media professionals, news executives and prominent free spirits.  She will also attend the Al Neuharth Free Spirit of the Year award ceremony, where she will be a part of an audience of media leaders, diplomats and other distinguished guests.
