ROXBURY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SELECTED FOR 25TH ANNUAL CONGRESSIONAL ARTS COMPETITION

Four Roxbury High School art students were selected to have their work entered into the 25th Annual Congressional Arts Competition for high school students, "An Artistic Discovery".  This competition provides an opportunity to encourage and recognize the rich artistic talents of our young people.

    Students whose work will be on display are:

• Amanda Baratta, grade 12, "Amanda's World," Pencil and color pencil
• Dana Windt, grade 11, “Morris Study #5”, Linoleum Cut
• Mark McDevitt, grade 12, “Still Life #3,” Watercolor
• Debra Brooks, grade 12, "Proverb #5,” Silver Gelatin Print and Floss 

A Reception and Awards Ceremony took place on Monday, May 1, 2006 from 6 to 7:30 PM at the Schering-Plough Corporation in Madison.  Congratulations and good luck to all who were selected!
