EMS STUDENTS WIN 4th PLACE IN BRAIN BOWL

Eisenhower Middle School’s Academic Team earned 4th Place at the Brain Bowl ’07, hosted by Summit Middle School.  The Eisenhower Middle School team won the 4th place Varsity Trophy after two rounds of the competition.  The trophy was awarded based on the highest point scores, not by individual rounds.

Fourteen teams participated in this competition, which was sponsored by the NJ Consortium for Gifted and Talented students.  Teams of five students from local school districts compete in two preliminary rounds against teams from other participating schools/districts on the Junior Varsity (Grades 5-6) and/or the Varsity (Grades 7-8) level.  In each round, four team members answered questions while one team member served as a scorekeeper/timer.

Eisenhower Middle School Principal, Mr. Dan Johnson is quite pleased with his students, "We are extremely proud of our students.  Their dedication and enthusiasm for excellence definitely shows through in their performance."
