Eisenhower Middle School eighth grader, Jared Percevault, earned a perfect score on the National Social Studies League Exam. This is the first time in Eisenhower Middle School history that a student received a perfect score. Jared placed first in the nation and will receive an award to recognize his outstanding achievement.
Eisenhower Middle School students placed 9th in the nation in the National Social Studies League Exam. Nicholas Boemio was selected as an All-American Scholar Award Winner. Nicolas placed in the Top 10 percent of the nation. Eisenhower principal, Mr. Dan Johnson stated, “We are extremely proud of all of our students who competed. This exemplifies the hard work that they have put in during this school year. We are especially proud of Jared as his accomplishment is phenomenal. I would also like to thank our Social Studies teachers for the tremendous work they do with our students, as exemplified by this achievement.”
Mr. Kurt Schweitzer, Social Studies Lead Teacher is also very proud, “This is a great honor and accomplishment for our students and department. We have consistently placed in the top ten percent for the last 12 years. We have shown the Roxbury community and nation that we are a department that will continue to challenge, motivate, and achieve at the highest level.”
