Visit the Roxbury District inclement weather web page for a listing of radio and television stations that publish Nixon weather related closings. The Roxbury District web site also lists emergency information about school closings.

Note: Please do not call the school radio stations, police department, officials or board members of the Board of Education. The special school information service number is (973) 584-5868. Emergency closings during school hours will be announced over these same stations. The township fire sirens will blow twice at 7:00AM for school closings in inclement weather.

Welcome to the Nixon Elementary School Website. Nixon Elementary School is located in the Landing section of Roxbury Township at 275 Mt. Arlington Blvd. Landing, NJ. The Nixon School motto is ?here Dreams begin.?Our school is a very caring and compassionate place to learn. Our staff members are committed to excellence and have high expectations for student achievement. Kindergarten through Fourth Grade learning opportunities are provided for students in our school. Approximately 370 students attend Nixon Elementary School.

The Nixon Elementary School PTA is also an integral part of our school. The PTA holds monthly meetings, promotes educational programs, volunteer programs and many other fun and exciting events.

As the new Principal of Nixon Elementary School, our students, staff and parent community work to build partnerships that enable students to succeed. We are dedicated to fulfilling the needs of all students through the Differentiated Instruction. This philosophy promotes learning at every child? academic level.

This website will serve as a communication tool for us to utilize as we nurture our partnerships. At this site, you can review the Principal? Page where you will find my Monthly Newsletter, school policies, and various activities occurring in school.

I want to thank Mr. Mangano for being the Webmaster for our site. He is volunteering his time and creativity to develop a website that will be user-friendly and informative! We hope it will provide you with an opportunity to learn about our school and browse educationally oriented websites. As a bonus, it will also help you and your child utilize your computer skills? together! We will continually and frequently update the website so please visit often.
