Vocal Music

Roxbury Madrigals is an extra curricular, select group which rehearses one hour a week after school during the Fall season.  Students must be members of one of the curricular choirs to audition for Roxbury Madrigals.  Roxbury Madrigals members study a cappella madrigals and motets.  The group performs under the direction of Mr. Salyerds.

Roxbury Melodies and Roxbury Men's Choir are two extra curricular, select groups made up of students from all curricular choirs.  The groups rehearse one hour a week after school and perform during the spring season.  The Melodies perform under the direction of Mr. Hachey and the Men's Choir is directed by Mr. Salyerds.

Roxbury Vocal Jazz, under the direction of Mr. Hachey, is the second select jazz choir at Roxbury, consisting of sixteen singers.  This grop rehearses one night a week from January through April.  Roxbury Vocal Jazz performs at various festivals and competitions, as well as at the Roxbury Jazz Night.

Roxbury Revelation, under the direction of Ms. Lynch, is the select jazz choir at Roxbury, consisting of sixteen singers.  All of the singers in Roxbury Revelation must be members of the Roxbury Chorale or Classic Sounds in order to be eligible to audition for the jazz choir.  The group rehearses one night a week from January through April. Roxbury Revelation performs up and down the East Coast at various invitationals and at the Roxbury Jazz Night.
