WELCOME to SCA! Whether this is your first year as a HS parent or you’ve been around awhile, if you haven’t been to an SCA meeting you are surely missing out!
The SCA is a parent group that meets monthly to simply stay informed with what’s happening at RHS. Encouraging open communication between our administration, teachers, students, parents, BOE & our community is our main focus.
Our meetings are generally held on the 3rd Wed. of the month, at 7:30PM in the HS Media Conference Room. They are always run as an “open forum” so those present can ask questions and discuss concerns they may have. Our principal Mr. Swanson joins us every month & candidly shares a wealth of information. It really is a very informative experience each & every meeting!
There’s an interest topic each month where we invite a guest speaker/s to share information on the topic at hand. Many times our guests are RHS students who share their own unique perspective on the topic. Our schedule for this year is enclosed and will also be on the high school website at: www.roxbury.org/rhs.
Please accept this as an invitation to ALL to join us at an upcoming SCA meeting. It is certain to be time well spent! I can promise you there are absolutely NO fees, NO fundraising, and NO obligation of any kind…..JUST INFORMATION!
Our first meeting of the 2011-2012 school year will be on September 14 @ 7:30PM. We are calling it Freshman Parent Night” however lots of info for ALL will be shared. Hope to see you there!
