A Web Quest is an inquiry-oriented
activity in which most or all of the information used by learners is
drawn from the web. Web Quests are designed to use learner's time
well, to focus on using information rather than looking for it.
and to support learners' thinking at the levels of analysis, synthesis
and evaluation. The model was developed in early 1995 at San Diego
State University by
Bernie Dodge with Tom March.
For further information, explore the articles on the "Web
Quests News" site. If you haven't explored Web Quests and the
instructional uses previously, you may wish to begin reading the
information on training
page for web quests The Web
Quest Page or Ozline.
These pages list Web Quests that many teachers and students will find
compelling. Try also the site where Tom discusses the Web
Quest Design Process.
The
following list of web quests are from our various staff development
opportunities provided by the Roxbury
Public Schools.
We have been fortunate to have courses from the Morris
County ETTC, graduate courses from New Jersey City University, and Roxbury
Professional Leadership Staff Development courses from our own staff
in developing the web quests. Please
feel free to use the web quests, but give credit to our teachers who
worked to develop them. If
you should have any questions or comments, we have included the e-mail
addresses for the people from the Roxbury School District. They
would love to hear from people who are using their web quests.
As educators, we so often work alone; it is nice to see our
efforts are appreciated. |

Please be advised: We do not maintain external/broken

District's sites, please notify us at

What seems to
interest you ? If the answer is, "I don't have a clue,"
then it is time to explore. If there is more definition to your
response, it still is time to explore.
