In the Fall, students can apply to compete as part of Roxbotix Junior, a First Tech Challenge (FTC) Competition Team (http://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/ftc/game-and-season). Interested FTC students will have to fill out an application in Septemeber and submit to Mr. Moskowitz in order to be considered for the team. Previous experience with robotics, STEAM, science fairs, or general tinkering/making is a huge plus but not necessarily required. Please be sure to fill out the application in detail. Space is limited to approximately 10 students.
In the Spring, the Robotics and STEAM club participates in the Junior Solar Sprint Competition where student teams are tasked with building the fastest solar car they can in order to race against teams from other schools. Space in the spring is extremely limited and student participation is dependent on a recommendation from a combination of Math, Science and Tech Teachers
Fall and Spring offerings of this club are separate, and, while some students may be part of both the Fall and Spring, each offering will have it's own set of requirements. Participation in the Fall will not guarantee or be a requirement for participating in the Spring.
