Kids FLO: Yoga and Mindfulness Camp - Summer 2020

     Camp for Children Ages 4-9!

    This program is designed to provide children with a fun, engaging, life skills-based Yoga and Mindfulness experience. Each class is inspired by and rooted in the Little Flower Yoga Five Elements, which are Connect, Breathe, Move, Focus, and Relax. These five elements will be playfully taught through a variety of individual, partner, and whole-group activities including games, songs, chants, and more!     Children enrolled in RCS Calling All Kids or Roxbury Rec's Playground Camp will be supervised in Room 8 from 12-12:15 p.m. Please send a snack for your child to eat during this transition time.

    This program is open to all Roxbury and non-Roxbury residents.

    What to bring: A Yoga Mat (Five Below)

    Arrival Procedures: Please arrive at the Kennedy side entry door (door is far right side when facing the school) promptly at 12:15 p.m. if not enrolled in RCS Calling All Kids or Roxbury Rec's Playground Camp. Children will be brought to room 7 by instructors.

    Dismissal Procedures: Children will be brought to the Kennedy side entry door (door is far right side when facing the school) for pick up.

    AGES/GRADES: Ages 4-9 (spots in each section are limited)


    For Ages 4-6 - (4 Weeks on Mondays)
       July 13, 20, 27, and August 3, 2020
       12:15 p.m. to 1:05 p.m. 
    For Ages 7-9 - (4 Weeks on Wednesdays)
       July 15, 22, 29, and August 5, 2020
       12:15 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. 

    LOCATION: Kennedy Elementary School, Room 7
       Ages 4-6: $17.50 per week per student
       Ages 7-9: $18.75 per week per student 
    INSTRUCTOR: Kristy Stanton is a Certified Early Childhood Classroom Teacher, a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and has trained with Little Flower Yoga, a comprehensive Yoga and Mindfulness program for children. Her life passions include empowering children, movement, and well-being. She has been a classroom teacher and practiced yoga since 2014 and has also worked in day camps with children of all ages since 2006. She teaches with compassion, enthusiasm, and encouragement. She will be accompanied by an assistant during each session.

    The Roxbury Community School is self-sufficient and a course/program must pay for itself. If there are not enough registrants, the course/program will be canceled. The Coordinator reserves the right to remove from class those individuals who have not paid tuition.  

    There are no refunds for winter, spring, summer, or fall courses/camps AFTER the program starts. All cancellations must be received in writing to at least seven days prior to the start of the class for a refund. After that date, there will be no refunds.
