On Thursday, April 30, 2026, the Roxbury High School community gathered to celebrate a monumental achievement: the completion of the third student-built home produced by the Structural Design & Fabrication (SDF) program. The event honored graduating seniors, recognized top student craftsmen, and provided the public a first look at the home before it moves to its permanent location.

The project, a partnership with Greater Middlesex and Morris Habitat for Humanity, has transformed the high school parking lot into a high-intensity job site over the past two years. Next week, the home will begin its journey through the streets of Roxbury to its permanent foundation at 402 West Dewey Avenue, where it will provide affordable housing for a local family.

The Roxbury Performing Arts Department will present 9 to 5: The Musical March 12, 13, and 14 in the Roxbury High School Auditorium located at 1 Bryant Drive in Succasunna. Performances start at 7:00 PM with an additional matinee show on Saturday, March 14th at 2:00 PM.

Roxbury Township Public Schools proudly congratulates RHS Director of Choirs and Lead Teacher of Performing Arts, Patrick Hachey, who was selected to conduct the NJ All-State Treble Choir from February 19-22. This distinguished honor has been awarded to only 10 high school teachers in the ensemble’s 25-year history. This marks the second time Mr. Hachey has been selected to conduct an All-State choir during his 26-year career in music education, including 22 years of dedicated service to the Roxbury community. RHS choir teacher Krista Sweer also served as pianist for the NJ All-State Treble Choir, proudly representing the Roxbury High School Choral Program at the state level. Roxbury Township Public Schools commends both educators for their exceptional leadership, talent, and commitment to excellence in the performing arts.

The New Jersey Music Educators Association held its annual NJ All-State Band auditions on Saturday, January 24, 2026, where students from every county in NJ competed to earn a seat in one of two honor bands. In order to be eligible to audition, students must first earn a place in their respective Region Bands. Students are required to play scales, a collegiate level solo for their respective instrument, as well as sight read in the audition.

The Roxbury Public Schools Distinguished Alumni Award has been established to honor alumni who have typified the Roxbury School District tradition of excellence and brought credit to our community by their personal accomplishment, professional achievement, or humanitarian service.

Roxbury Township Public Schools, a K-12 school district preparing the children of today for tomorrow, has opened Kindergarten registration for the 2026/2027 school year. Children must be five years old on or before October 1, 2026 to participate. 

The K-6 schools in Roxbury Township are excited to announce their fall TREP$ Marketplace on Wednesday, December 3rd from 6:30-7:45 p.m. at Franklin Elementary School located at 8 Meeker Street in Succasunna. The TREP$ Marketplace is a unique flea-market style event in that all of the vendors are fourth thru sixth graders from Franklin, Jefferson, Kennedy, Nixon, and Lincoln/Roosevelt Schools.

Eight Roxbury High School students successfully auditioned for the American Choral Director’s Association Eastern Division High School Honors Mixed and Treble Choirs. These prestigious ensembles are comprised of the top singers in the northeastern part of the United States.

Join the Roxbury High School Honors Wind Symphony for its 7th Annual Holiday Pops Concert featuring a program of all holiday music on Saturday, December 13th at 3 p.m. in the Roxbury High School auditorium located at 1 Bryant Drive in Succasunna, NJ. The snow date will be Sunday, December 14th at 3 p.m.
