Eight Roxbury High School Students Accepted into Eastern Division Honors Choirs

ROXBURY, NJ (November 14, 2025) – Eight Roxbury High School students successfully auditioned for the American Choral Director’s Association Eastern Division High School Honors Mixed and Treble Choirs. These prestigious ensembles are comprised of the top singers in the northeastern part of the United States.

Congratulations to Max Barton (11), Joe Borda (12), Jen Buczynski (12), Nora Doyle (10), Jasper Fernandes (12), Leah Nelson (10), Elizabeth Ricucci (12), and Caden Scire (12) on this incredible accomplishment.

The students will be performing under the direction of two highly accomplished choral conductors: Cindy Ellis, director of choral activities at Miami Arts Studio in Miami, FL, and Dr. Marques L.A. Garrett, choral composer and Associate Professor of Choral Studies at the University of North Texas, in Denton, TX. Their performances will take place from February 25-28, 2026 in Providence, RI.

The American Choral Directors Association is a national organization founded in 1959 to serve the professional needs of all choir directors. From its origin, ACDA has promoted excellence in choral music through its workshops, symposia, choral program exchanges, international efforts, and especially through its conferences. Their mission is to inspire excellence in choral music through education, performance, composition, and advocacy.
