Mrs. Nicole Acevedo

My name is Nicole Acevedo, and I am the proud principal of Kennedy Elementary School.

I have been so fortunate to work in education, serving students for twenty years. I have worked in the capacity of teacher, supervisor, and vice principal in the Paterson Public School system for 17 years and am so excited and honored to now be a part of the Roxbury School District as principal of Kennedy Elementary School since 2018. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Kutztown University and later went on to earn a Master's in Education from Marygrove College. After finding a passion for working with both students and colleagues, I returned to earn my Supervisors and Principal certificate from NJ Excel. I have a wonderful and supportive family and am the proud mother of two amazing boys.

As an instructional leader, the academic success of every child is my top priority. This, however, cannot be done alone. I embrace the opportunity to build strong relationships and collaborate with all members of the learning community. I hold very high academic and instructional standards and take pride in working with such dedicated staff to ensure all students receive a high quality, rigorous, and engaging education in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment.

I always want my learners and friends at KES to  "Be the change you wish to see in the world" Mahatma Gandhi.
