Four RHS Band Students Accepted into Region Ensembles

ROXBURY, NJ (January 14, 2022) – The North Jersey School Music Association held its annual Region 1 Band auditions on January 8th, where near 300 students competed to earn a seat in one of two honors, and the orchestra’s wind and percussion section.

Four students from Roxbury High School were accepted into one of the ensembles and will participate in three rehearsals before putting on a concert at Parsippany Hills High School on Sunday, January 30th.

Sophomore Justin Masi earned the highest score of all auditioning trombones in northern New Jersey and will be performing with the Wind Ensemble. Junior Nick Andrade, trombone, will be performing with both the Symphonic Band and Orchestra. Seniors Andrew Wilson on French Horn and Christian Maroulis on Clarinet will be performing with the Symphonic Band.

Congratulations to all students who auditioned and we wish the four RHS participants a great performance!
