Eleven Roxbury Students Perform with the NJ All-State Honors Mixed Choir

ROXBURY, NJ (December 6, 2022) – Eleven Roxbury High School Choir students performed with the New Jersey All State Mixed Choir in November. This is a huge accomplishment for these students who worked hard to prepare and record auditions in order to earn this honor. This prestigious ensemble is comprised of the top singers across the state of New Jersey. This year’s Mixed All State Choir was conducted by Dr. Amanda Quist, Director of Choirs at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.

The following students were selected for the New Jersey All State Mixed Choir: Alex Brinkman (12), Andrew Darling (12), David Doherty (10), Justin Masi (10), Norbert Martinez (12), Ava Milsom (12), Emma Milsom (12), Isabella Negron (11), Evan Paddock (12), Angelina Riveros (11), and Riley Shivas (11).

These students performed two concerts with the ensemble. Their first performance served as the closing for the New Jersey Educators Association Conference in Atlantic City on Friday, November 11th. Their final performance was held at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark on Sunday, November 20th.

The purpose of NJ All-State Chorus is to offer a unique educational experience to the best-qualified vocal students in New Jersey. Accepted students perform challenging choral literature of the highest quality, under the direction of an outstanding conductor.
