Franklin School Holds Sock Drive

Franklin School Sock Drive this week

ROXBURY, NJ (March 2, 2021) – This week Franklin Elementary School is holding a sock drive to benefit Roxbury Social Services.

ISL Teacher Kathy Diaz came up with the drive. “The idea for the sock drive came from a thought I had because I have used the book Fox in Socks and love the words and the story itself. The idea for the drive was just a thought I had and when my children were younger their one teacher read Fox in Socks and they made sock puppets. So why not instead of making puppets, we give socks to people who need them.”

Based on that idea, the school will be holding a sock drive now through Friday, March 5th at Franklin Elementary School located at 8 Meeker Street in Succasunna. Individuals interested in donating socks can do so between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
