Plyoga Allows RHS Students to Connect with Their Inner Athlete

Plyoga Allows RHS Students to Connect with Their Inner Athlete

Students at RHS learn Plyoga in gym class

ROXBURY, NJ (November 16, 2017) – Roxbury High School students participated in a new workout during their Physical Education classes on November 2nd and 3rd. These students experienced Plyoga workouts.

Plyoga creator Stephanie Lauren and Chief US Mast Trainer Christine Conti put students through workouts that use the benefits of fundamental and accelerated yoga as an active recovery for plyometric (reactive) movement.

The plyoga workout is a cutting-edge exercise science incorporating an even mix of agility, endurance, balance, flexibility, and power. Students were taught empowerment and applied goal setting through physical achievement. Both students and staff worked hard and enjoyed finding their inner athlete!
