Giving Tree at Jefferson Teaches Community Service

Giving Tree Project with Jefferson First Grade Team

ROXBURY, NJ (December 20, 2019) – First graders at Jefferson Elementary School in Roxbury Township learned first hand about giving back to the people in their community this holiday season. The first-grade staff and students collected hats, gloves, and socks for Roxbury Social Services during the month of December as part of their annual Giving Tree Project.

“Staff and students throughout Jefferson School donated items and placed their names on our school Giving Tree in the hallway. The generous donations were collected in gift boxes and will be delivered to Roxbury Social Services for those in need,” shared first-grade teacher Barbara Derrick.
