RHS Classic Sounds Honors Choir Performs to Spur LRS Interest

RHS Classic Sounds Performs for LRS

ROXBURY, NJ (February 7, 2020) – Fifth graders at Lincoln/Roosevelt School in Roxbury Township were treated to a special performance Friday morning by the Roxbury High School Classic Sounds Honors Choir under the direction of Patrick Hachey.

“This program was put together in an effort to showcase the hard work and talents of our Roxbury choral program and encourage fifth-grade students to get involved now,” shared Kate Katz, the fifth-grade choir director.

RHS Classic Sounds Performs for LRS “Before they know it, students will have the opportunity to be part of the expansive music programs at Eisenhower Middle School and Roxbury High School. The best way to get ready for these wonderful opportunities is to start singing at Lincoln/Roosevelt.”

Katz along with Ellen Ng, the fifth and sixth-grade chorus teachers, would like to invite each and every student interested in singing to join the fun! Enrollment for chorus has been reopened and all fifth graders have been given sign up forms. Click here for the PDF form that can be downloaded and printed. Forms are requested by February 18th.

Chorus meets once a week during LAP and performs in the Lincoln/Roosevelt Spring Concert.

If students or parents have any questions, they are invited to reach out to Mrs. Katz (kkatz@roxbury.org) or Mrs. Ng (eng@roxbury.org).

We can’t wait to see what wonderful singers this spring will bring!

Mrs. Katz and Mrs. Ng would like to thank Mr. Hachey and the RHS Classic Sounds Honors Choir for joining us and sharing your talents!
