Nixon School Early Act Holds Successful Holiday Food and Toy Drive

Nixon Early Act members with Food and Toy Drive Collection for Social Services  

ROXBURY, NJ (December 18, 2020) – Just before Thanksgiving, Nixon Elementary School’s Early Act Club announced it would be holding a Holiday Food and Toy Drive to support Roxbury Social Services this holiday season. 

Nixon Food and Toy Drive Collection for Social Services Nixon families and community members turned out strong at Nixon School on the afternoon of December 11th donating numerous food items and new unused toys. 

Early Act Club Advisor Kerry Hamberger shared, “All the donations got dropped off Monday morning to Social Services. They were beyond grateful for all the toys and food.” 

Hamberger added, “We still have more to bring at the school!” The remaining donations will be made either today or Monday. 

Nixon’s Food and Toy Drive this season was set up as a contactless system where individuals could drop off items outside of Nixon School. 

Members of Nixon’s Early Act Club was onsite to help with the collection.
